This week on Pieceful Sunday, I am making fabric kits for my first workshop: Learn How to Make a Quilt. I discussed this adventure last week on Pieceful Sunday. I am really excited about teaching this class and helping other people learn to quilt. I will be teaching a simplified version of the Dessert Time pattern by Quilt in a Day. A photo of the quilt is below.
The quilt requires:
Since this is a beginner's class, I decided to make fabric kits available. The fabrics in each kit will vary, but the fabrics within each kit will be coordinated. Participants can cut their own fabric if they wish, but I thought that having the fabric kits would simplify the workshop for these beginning quilters. I have the 10" square die and the 2 1/2" strip die from Accuquilt (Affiliate LInk). Using the dies to make the kits has greatly reduced the required assembly time. The photo below shows my kit making system. Wish me luck on this series of workshops! Now it is your turn! I enjoy seeing your posts! You can link up your in-progress or completed piecing projects using the blue button with the frog below. Please note that the thumbnail photos and links will not show up on this page. You will need to click the blue frog button below to see the photos and links. This may be a little different from what you are used to.
